Leaders from disability research, services and industry will give an overview of the current landscape of AT research and provide hands on workshops in participatory and universal design. Other topics to be covered include leadership and communication skills, grant writing, how to influence policy and research ethics and integrity. One of the highlights is a workshop between the researchers and staff, service users and self advocates from the Daughters of Charity Disability Support Service (DoC) to exhange information and opinions on how this research can be practically introduced to the DoC to maximise the impact on peoples lives.
